Happy New Year!

New Year’s Day is, in reality, just the day after December 31st. Just another day in the huge scope of life.
But there’s always something about a new year, seeing that new number, and buying a brand new yearly planner, that makes us think differently about January 1st. And it always seems to “urge” us to do a few things differently.

I’m not a huge proponent of New Year’s resolutions. But I do seem to want to do some things a little better in a new year than I did the year before. I’m sure we could all stand to work on a few areas. Here are a few I’m going to focus on more consistently.

*I want to pray more.

*I want to read my Bible more.

*I want to spend more time studying.

*I want to write more consistently than I’ve been able to this year.

*I want to complain LESS!

*I want to grow in grace, humility, and mercy.

I don’t strive for some unattainable goal, like saying “I want to run a marathon.”, or “I’m going to make my bed EVERY DAY.” Those are things I know will never happen in any year. ( Some days the bed just doesn’t get made! ) But I do want to take small strides forward, improving on the things I already do.
Mostly, I want to be more like Christ and be more obedient to Him.
For you, it may be to make church attendance a priority. Or to find a new way to serve in your church. Maybe you need to be more patient.
Or less argumentative.

What are some things you are hoping to improve on in 2023?

Happy New Year! May God richly bless you and your families!

Now, I’ve got to go make the bed and get ready for church! 💗

  1. I’m late with reading and replying to posts and I’m reading them backwards. A few things I want is to pray more. My prayer life last year was pretty bad. I’m planning on studying the Bible and Verde mapping more and finally I want to read more books so far I’ve read two books this month and currently reading two at the same time. I know that is probably a no-no and I forget which character is from which book.😆
Well Happy New Year and may God’s face continue to shine upon you!
