If you are in Christ you are a new creation. You have been given a new heart. All your past sins are forgiven and your future sins are not counted against you. Jesus has paid your debt in full. He said so in the cross when he cried, “It is finished!”. So don’t continue to cling to guilt over the past. Accept His forgiveness and walk in the freedom you now have. You were a prisoner, but Christ has opened the cell door and you can walk out, your death sentence overturned because of the cross.
